ALIBATA is one of today’s upcoming rock recording artist that hails from Naga City. As proud bicolanos, the band showcases a good combination of premium vocal prowess together with ingenious instrumentation. The band is led by the Frontman Beejay Cruz, Paul Cecilio (bassist), Ryan (drummer), Jason San Vicente and Joseph “Kuraie” Noga (lead guitarist).

The self-titled debut album ALIBATA contains seven (7) original songs and a rockin’ revival of a Bicol song “SARONG BAGGUI”, the album is powered by the carrier single “MAGHIHINTAY NA LANG” that hit the chart of local radio stations in Bicol and some radio stations in manila.

The album was released by ZONE 7 CANDID RECORDS PHILIPPINES. Last year 2009, ALIBATA was part of a compilation album titled BAGONG HIMIG, ALON AT AGOS was their song, released by STAR RECORDS together with some popular artist LITO CAMO, YENG CONSTANTINO, KYLA, JURIS of MYMP, MAKISIG and more... The band has performed in various venues, concerts and more.. in and outside bicol. ALIBATA has been part of KAOGMA FESTIVAL since 2005 which showcases the best local and national artist.

They also performed in a international festival FETE DELA MUSIQUE 2006 and 2008. The group has also appeared in various television shows like: MAG TV oragon, MARHAY NA AGA KAPAMILYA, TITO POTATO SHOW (destiny’s channel), JOJO ALEJAR LATE AT NIGHT (channel 5), and UMAGANG KAY GANDA (Abs – Cbn Manila). ALIBATA is also proud having been one of the ten semi-finalist of THE WORLD BATTLE OF THE BANDS 2007 (Philippine division), and last DECEMBER 7, 2009 AWIT AWARDS at the ARENA san Juan city, ALIBATA was awarded as “BEST REGIONAL RECORDING” (Sarong Banggui). ALIBATA hopes to continue spicing up things and embody the essence of pinoy rock for many years to come!!!!.
